Here is the news after our last Board meeting April 3rd.
 
This month the JOP newsletter is integrated into this one!
Vancouver Island JOP Zone 6 Championships
Congratulations to Bradley Clements, Harry Clements and Christopher Clark in their efforts and awards at Nanoose Bay JOP Zone 6 Championships! Well done!

This Saturday April 8, 2006 JOP Shoot: 10am - 1pm Helena Myllyniemi will be coaching.

Shooting Night
Now that daylight saving time is here, come out for club shooting Wednesday night at 1900 (7 PM) or 9 AM on Saturdays.

Advanced Shooting Lessons
Watch this space and the webpage for information on a new shooting time for advanced lessons.

Sat. April 22, 2006 JOP Shoot:
10am-1pm There is a FITA Tournament on the big FITA field, so lessons will be held on the upper field by the clubhouse. E-mail Tracy Klat for more info
tournaments@victoriabowmen.com Juniors (and everyone) are invited to come down and watch as these are the type of tournaments held every where.

Annual Club Spring Work Party:
Saturday April 29, 2006_ 9am Club Clean-up and BBQ Contact Bruce 474-9951 for info - we need everyone to come out! There will be a free BBQ for all the workers at noon, no shooting until after the work party. Bring along gloves, wheel barrows, pruners, shovels, rakes, cleaning supplies etc. Please, we need everyone to come out!

JOP Tournament Procedure Briefing
On Saturday May 6, 2006 10:30am Tracy Klat will be speaking about tournaments, she is the Tournament Director and Zone 6 Representative. She will answer questions about BC Summer Games, Queen Victoria Shoot, FITA's, Canadian 900 Rounds and all JOP and Club tournaments. You may reach her at tournaments@victoriabowmen.com

Equipment Repair Clinic and Coaching Clinic
Al will show interested parents, members (anyone) some equipment maintenance techniques right after shooting on April 15th. He will cover fletching, arrow straightening, arrow rests, basic tuning, serving etc.
