Hello Victoria Bowmen Members,

Here is the latest news since our last Board Meeting August 10.

As far as news of the range, there is no good news. Our last shooting date at the range will be October 31st. Your Board of Directors has been working hard to find a replacement outdoor range, but so far to no avail! This is a sad day for archery in Victoria, however, we must move on. This is not the end of the Victoria Bowmen. We will still be a strong club presence, we will still offer classes through the recreation centres, will still have our indoor programs, our JOP Program and come next spring we are confident there will be a place for us all to participate outdoors. It may be on an 'ad hoc' basis such as school grounds or parks, bust we are confident we'll find something. the Victoria Bowmen is more than a piece of property.

LAST SHOOT:
We are planning a farewell BBQ and social at the range September 12 at 6PM in conjunction with the FITA and 900 being shot earlier that day .All members past and present are invited, friends of archery and families are invited. Just for history, we started shooting on that property in 1965!

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING:
Our AGM will be at the clubhouse September 28, 2009 at 7:30PM. This is a very important meeting, we need you to come out and help us in this transition to a new facility and a new Victoria Bowmen.
Elections will be held, we are looking for some new volunteers to help out, in particular we are looking for a new Secretary and new Membership Director.
