Victoria Bowmen Newsletter June 2009
Date: June 18, 2009
Hello,
Here is some news as of our latest Board Meeting June
15
Greg Durward
It is with great sadness that we announce the
passing of an active club member, Greg Durward after a battle with
cancer. Greg will be missed by everyone in the archery community, his
contribution, to our club, the BCAA and FCA was significant. Greg was
active in archery right up until he was admitted to hospital.
Please
join us to shoot a few arrows and mark his passing at a special Greg
Durward tournament/BBQ/Wake day at the club on June 27th. There will be
a FITA/900 round starting at 1000 and then a BBQ and wake around 1630 –
1700. We hope you can make it. Greg’s son Jon has posted a website in
Greg’s memory, you can access it at:
http://durward.com/greg/
The club has made a contribution to the
Lady Minto foundation in Greg’s name, you are encouraged to do the same.
